Hawaiian Turkey Burgers

Spices inward My DNA

Ingredients

For the burgers

  • 1
    pound
    lean earth turkey*

  • 2
    scallions, thinly sliced

  • one
    clove
    garlic, minced

  • ii
    tablespoons
    soy sauce

  • 2
    tablespoons
    hoisin sauce

  • pinch of common salt

  • i/two
    teaspoon
    earth black pepper

  • one/two
    tablespoon
    avocado or olive crude oil

For the toppings

  • nonstick spray

  • i
pineapple, cored and cutting into one/two'' thick slices

  • i
    avocado, thinly sliced

  • i
    cherry-red onion, thinly sliced

  • greens of your choice (I used mixed greens, merely romaine or butter lettuce would function neat)

  • iv
buns of your choice (I used brioche)

Instructions

  1. Begin past making the burgers. To a medium bowl, add together the turkey, scallions, garlic, soy sauce, hoisin, table salt, in addition to pepper. Mix to combine (it'second easiest to use your hands!). Divide the mixture into four equal parts and form into patties. I detect that ground turkey tin live super glutinous, then if y'all wet your hands showtime before forming the patties, it actually helps!

  2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high oestrus too add together the fossil oil. Once hot, add your burgers too cook for four-5 minutes per side, or until depply aureate as well as caramelized on each side.

  3. While the burgers are cooking, preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. If yous're using a grill pan, spray lightly with nonstick spray. Grill your pineapple for 3-v minutes per side (depending on your grill), or until grill marks seem.

  4. To serve, place a handful of greens on the bottom bun, followed by the burger, a grilled pineapple slice, a piece of crimson onion, in addition to slices of avocado on peak. (Bonus points if you grill your burger bun!)

Recipe Notes

*Be certain to role 92 or 93% lean ground turkey, non the 99% thin ground turkey chest, because your burgers would be super dry!
*If yous don't want to make your burgers a skillet every bit the recipe is written, y'all tin can grill them on an outdoor grill or grill pan with your pineapple, I merely notice that turkey burgers stick more on a grill.
