Slow-Cooker Pumpkin Butter - 1St Grade's Been Cookin' Again!


Well, 1st degree has been cooking again!  This time, every bit you've in all likelihood already figured out, we made pumpkin butter.  And, oh, was it e'er good.

Our vocabulary unit of measurement this calendar week was centered around the labor of a chef, as well as included the words 'utensils' as well as 'ingredients' ... amidst other words, of course.  I only couldn't resist incorporating a hands-on cooking activity!  And it only thus happened that nosotros were every bit good learning nearly the pumpkin increase life wheel ... ya know, pumpkins firstly every bit a seed, as well as then grow into a sprout, which grows into a constitute ... retrieve learning that sort of stuff?

Pumpkin Butter

Ingredients
2 (15 oz.) cans 100% pure pumpkin (about iv c.)
1 (16 oz.) box low-cal brownish sugar
1 1/2 tsp. pose down cinnamon
1/4 tsp. pose down cloves
Dash of salt


Directions
1. Combine all ingredients inwards a slow-cooker.  Cook on depression oestrus for three to iv hours.  Or, combine all ingredients inwards a large saucepan as well as gear upward over medium until the color is night brown. 

2.  Serve warm or mutual depression temperature amongst graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers, or biscuits.
