(adapted from a recipe inward the July 2011 Southern Living Magazine)
For the Crème Anglaise:
2 cups one-half together with half
1/4 loving cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons honey
dash of salt
3 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Whisk all ingredients together inward a heavy bottom saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium oestrus whisking constantly. Boil 1 minute, whisking to forbid burning. Remove from oestrus together with serve warm or cold.
For the Peach Brûlée:
4 large ripe peaches, halved, seeds removed
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
granulated saccharide (approximately vi teaspoons)
Preheat broiler amongst oven rack virtually vi inches from the oestrus source. Arrange the peaches cutting side upwards on an broiler rubber pan. Brush the cutting sides of the peaches amongst the melted butter. Sprinkle each peach one-half amongst 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar. Broil 10 minutes or until saccharide is caramelized. Serve straightaway with Crème Anglaise or H2O ice cream. Serves 4.
