Classic macarons alongside a creamy lemon buttercream

Ingredients


For the macarons:



  • 4
    ounces
    almond flour,

  • Zest of 1 lemon




For the limoncello buttercream:



  • 2
    teaspoons
    fresh lemon juice


  • 4
    tablespoons
    unsalted butter,
    room temperature


  • 1
    ounce
    cream cheese,
    room temperature


  • 2
    tablespoons
    Limoncello liqueur


  • a drib or 2 of pure vanilla extract


  • 2
    cups
    sifted powdered sugar,
    more or less every bit needed for desired consistency





Instructions
